Atlantic Multi Sport Camp - 2026 - Halifax, NS
The application period for Soldier On members wishing to participate in the Atlantic Multi Sport Camp 4-8 October is now open.
The application deadline is 18 September 2026.
AIM AND SCOPE OF EVENT:
Join Soldier On for an exciting multi-sport camp featuring a variety of sports similar to those offered through the Invictus Games and Warrior Games. Participants will have the opportunity to try different sports, develop new skills, challenge themselves, and connect with other Soldier On members in a fun and supportive environment. With the assistance from a variety of local experienced sports providers participants will be able to discover and develop their skills in wheelchair rugby, wheelchair basketball, swimming, Tennis, Pickleball, cycling and archery.
No previous experience is required—just come ready to get active and try something new.
The number of Soldier On participants is limited to 16.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) from NB, PEI, NS and NL REGION(S) who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.
Selected Serving members will require the approval of their Chain of Command to participate.

TRANSPORTATION & MEALS:
Travel assistance will be provided and coordinated by the Soldier On Regional Coordinator in conjunction with Soldier On Operations. The most economical means of transportation to and from the event will be prioritized and discussed with members through the event OPI or their delegate.Soldier On will provide Rations and Quarters (R&Q) and travel assistance to participants who reside more than 100 km from the event location. Participants who live within 100 km of the event location will be considered local and will be responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the event.Lunch will be provided to all participants during the event. Participants travelling from outside the 100 km radius will also be supported with authorized meals during travel and throughout their stay at the event.
Mental & Physical Requirements
Participants must be able to tolerate two 3-hour sessions per day of moderate- to high-paced activities over three consecutive days and are expected to attend all scheduled sessions. Activities will involve varying levels of physical exertion, cardiovascular endurance, strength, balance, coordination, and range of motion.
Participants should be comfortable trying new activities, following instructions, learning new skills, and managing the physical and mental demands of a busy activity schedule. Participants should have a limited need for extended rest periods throughout the day.
Accommodations for individual restrictions will be made to the best of our ability, provided the OPI is made aware of these requirements in advance and based on the equipment and resources available. Adaptive equipment may be available for some sports. Participants are encouraged to communicate any limitations or support requirements with the OPI before and during the camp.
Applicants will be joined with other ill/injured members and civilians, and therefore should be able to function in a social environment. Applicants are advised that some activities for this event may be located at Canadian Armed Forces bases/facilities, and thus they may be exposed to a day-to-day military environment.
Applicants also acknowledge that there will be no alcohol allowed in the accommodations, and will be required to share accommodations.
